Prof Roberto Bertollini holds a degree in medicine and a postgraduate degree in paediatrics, as well as a master's degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins University, USA. In addition to this position as WHO Representative to the European Union, Prof Bertollini is Chief Scientist with the specific task of supporting the Regional Director's Office with the scientific evidence that underpins WHO health policies and strategies.
