Professional Development Course in Rheumatology - 2nd Edition
This non-degree postgraduate course in Rheumatology from the Lisbon School of Medicine, University of Lisbon (FMUL), will have a theoretical e-learning component and a theoretical-practical, in-person component dedicated to the discussion of clinical cases and training in the musculoskeletal objective examination.
This training in rheumatology aims to explore topics of greater relevance for the clinical practice of non-specialist doctors in rheumatology, strengthening the management capacity of rheumatic patients and helping in the decision of referencing patients for the specialty of rheumatology. The course is open to all doctors, including rheumatology interns.
Target Students
The course is open to all physicians, including rheumatology residents. Priority will be given to physicians working at the Santa Maria Local Health Unit.

Format
- The course will consist of three parts:
- Theoretical Component: Asynchronous e-learning, through videos available on an online platform.
- Theoretical-Practical Component: Mandatory in-person component, through the discussion of clinical cases based on the theoretical classes.
- Practical Component: Mandatory in-person component, dedicated to training in the musculoskeletal objective examination.
- Assessment: Mandatory in-person exam
