The opinion on Research Day shared by those present was very positive. The 9th edition, held on 11 December 2019, had 93 participants, the majority of whom were students of the Integrated Master Degree in Medicine, especially from years 3, 4, and 5, and also students of the Nutrition Sciences Degree, as this is an event aimed mainly at students.
In order to know their opinion on Research Day and improve future editions, they were asked to fill a questionnaire and 46% of participants responded.
In general, the participants were satisfied with the contents of the Research Day, namely with: the presentation and delivery session of the GAPIC David-Ferreira Awards; the poster session with the presentation of the works produced by students in the 22nd “Education through Science” Programme/ CHULN/FMUL Scholarships; and with the Lunch with Researchers session, a novelty in this edition, which was highly valued for allowing closer and informal contact with researchers.
The participants were equally satisfied with the organization and logistics of the event, especially its dissemination, with the support received and with the secretariat.
As strengths of the Research Day, they indicated the scope of the programme, the quality of the works presented and the fact that this is an important event for the dissemination of scientific activity in FMUL.
In the opinion of the participants, Research Day is an event that should continue to be organised by the FMUL, with the 2020 edition already scheduled for 9 December. Save the date!
