Respiratory diseases are the most common cause of hospital admissions in Pediatrics. The respiratory system is exposed to environmental factors (allergens, pollutants, infections), which makes children more susceptible to a number of diseases. Lung development in the first years of life is very rapid, predisposing to long-term repercussions of diseases or exposures early in life.
The course purpose is to create an opportunity for students to take away concrete immediate and long-term lessons for their professional life, in various professional settings and strands, creating strategies and giving them tools to diagnose, treat and monitor acute respiratory disease in children
