Although the Reynaldo dos Santos Technology Center has been up and running for several years, it was only today that it was fully inaugurated. This was the dream of a generation that started the project, but it was continued by two more generations of directors, both at FMUL and ULisboa.

Today, FMUL's director, Professor João Eurico Cabral da Fonseca, highlighted some of the names and explained that "today we are celebrating the full capacity of the space", since it has already been inaugurated.

Secretary of State Pedro Nuno Teixeira highlighted the importance of investments in science because they help develop various areas and because "celebrating knowledge is celebrating public service."

Professor Fausto Pinto was pleased that in a difficult period for humanity "there is still good news" and stressed the need to be at the forefront of knowledge and to encourage younger generations" to continue the projects.

The Ulisboa Dean, Luis Ferreira, recalled all the difficulties that occurred during the construction of the building and the resilience of those involved in overcoming adversity. He gave special thanks to the LCN students for having learned to live with the work.
