The 12th edition of the Education, Training, Youth and Employment Fair - Qualifica was held once again at Exponor, Porto, between 28 February and 3 March.

Under the motto "New jobs, more freedom”, the fair welcomed a total of 120 exhibitors, among them the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. Located at the stand of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, FMUL was represented by two staff members, who provided clarification to students, parents and teachers about the study programme of our educational offers, job opportunities and procedures.

The most common questions asked by potential students, mostly in the 12th year of schooling, were related to the academic course, more specifically, the curricular programmes of the Integrated Master’s in Medicine and the Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Sciences. Parents, however, mainly made questions regarding accommodations and the location of student residences in Lisbon.

The event was marked by greater participation in the first two days (Thursday and Friday), due to the visits organized by secondary schools. Despite welcoming fewer visitors, Saturday and Sunday were equally important, as students were accompanied by parents and caretakers which raised the level of demand of clarifications.

In addition to the academic offer, students also had the opportunity to explore other challenges of a technical-professional nature and, throughout the event, were presented with dynamic activities such as: fashion shows, dancing and singing performances and even cooking and creative art workshops.

The outcome of our participation was very positive and was reflected in a substantial number of enrolments for Candidate's Day, to be held next month.
