FMUL at Descobre ULisboa for the first time
The FMUL was present at the Descobre ULisboa (Discover ULisboa) Fair for the first time. As usual, the initiative took place at the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, and relied on the collaboration of 17 Faculties, as well as of the Confucius Institute and the University's Central Services.

The Descobre ULisboa Fair was an interactive exhibition promoted by the largest European University - the University of Lisbon. The aim of this initiative was to introduce the wide range of courses of the various faculties to middle- and high-school students.
The organizers decided to make this edition more dynamic and interactive, promoting a circuit of scientific and cultural activities divided into 4 routes: the Route of Crossed Letters (languages and humanities), the Route of Hidden Geometry (visual arts), the Route of Unveiled Laboratories (sciences and technologies), with the collaboration of the FMUL, and Hidden Numbers (socioeconomic sciences).
On January 29 and 30, at the FMUL stand, we caught the attention of the most curious pre-university students, with the help of videos, anatomical models and information brochures. In addition to clearing doubts and distributing promotional gifts, the team also relied on the support of volunteers (FMUL staff members, students and researchers), who were responsible for coordinating two activities included in the Route of Unveiled Laboratories, we talked about basic life support, making a short demonstration of resuscitation techniques, within the scope of the Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine, and about nutritional labelling, analysis and interpretation of indicators related to the human body, within the scope of the Degree in Nutrition Sciences.
According to the testimonials we gathered among the students, the visit to the Descobre ULisboa Fair was an excellent opportunity to start looking at future choices with greater certainty.
