More And Better
FMUL and ISAMB represented in a staff exchange programme within the framework of an European project
Last September, Dr Ana Virgolino and Dr Osvaldo Santos travelled to Maastricht, Netherlands, to participate in a staff exchange programme included in the activities carried out under the ALHTOUR project - Assisted Living Technologies for the Health Tourism Sector.
During this period, which contributed to strengthening the relations between the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon and the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences of the University of Maastricht, joint projects were drawn up which, among other results, will lead to the publication of two scientific papers focusing on the quality of care and the experience of management and research - living labs project.
ALHTOUR is a project funded by Horizon 2020 (H2020-TWINN-2015) and of which FMUL, as well as other faculties and research units of the University of Lisbon, is a partner, together with the Universities of Maastricht (Netherlands), Leuven (Belgium) and Macerata (Italy). The project’s main objective is to stimulate cooperation among these universities, to create contexts of scientific excellence, and to increase the capacity of innovation in technologies for autonomous life, aiming at their future use in the health tourism industry.
As a final note, we would like to draw your attention to the Summer School on Entrepreneurship, coordinated by Dominik Mahr, from the international consultancy company Service Science Factory, Maastricht University, held on 23- 27 October and in the future from 4 to 8 December. It will be attended by PhD students from various national and international institutions involved in the project.
