An American scientist became the first Jew to receive the King Faisal International Prize for Medicine, the Nobel Prize in Arab medicine. The work done by Ronald Levy, from the University of Stanford, has allowed the developing of treatment against cancer that uses the patient’s own immune system in order to combat the disease. It has resulted in the development of rituximab, the first monoclonal antibody used to fight against cancer.
