On the 30th of April 2009 the second Outdoor Activity was held under the overall theme of: “Join in”.
Although the start was scheduled for 9.30 am and the weather conditions were unfavourable, the first participants started arriving as early as 8.30, kitted out and ready to take the challenge.
The 88 participants were divided into two buses and the Great “Together” Adventure began. The destination was still unannounced, but the trip was turning out to be a surprise.
Once we arrived at the Sintra Mountain Range the organizing team had a set of activities waiting for us and everyone wanted to try them all.
From then on it was all a rush: everyone wanted to discover the tracks, take the tests, and get to know their colleagues that we only see now and then – where do you work? – was being asked here and there. At the end it was unanimous: “We want more!”
There was a lot of tiredness and a lot of adventures. We left the slide behind, the bikes, the shooting range and beauty of the Sintra hills. What about the rain? After the first hour no one thought about it anymore.
What did we get from the event? Our daily lives will let each of us know.
We are counting on your presence for the next events, because the Faculty of Medicine is all of us!
