If, on the one hand, it can be said that climate is one of several factors to be taken into account in the health status and mood swings of individuals, in a country renowned for its mild climate, like ours, it would be very disappointing if predictions indicating this summer would be the coldest in the last decades were to come true. Fortunately, as we write this note, the heat we are experiencing is truly summery and conducive to a good vacation.

In this edition we bring to you the Rheumatology Research Unit, which stemmed from a partnership between the Institute of Molecular Medicine (IMM)/Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon and the Rheumatology Department of Santa Maria Hospital.
