Gulbenkian/FMUL scholarships and 16th Programme “Education through Science”

In October 2012, GAPIC (Office for the Support of Scientific and Technological Research and Innovation), launched the contest to the 16th Programme “Education through Science” and to the Gulbenkian/FMUL scholarships, inviting applications from students who wish to conduct research projects in the 2012/2013 academic year.
Of the 53 applications received, 2 Gulbenkian/FMUL Mobility Scholarships, 15 Gulbenkian/FMUL Research Scholarships and 14 Scholarships of the Programme “Education through Science” have been approved with funding, whereas 22 applications without funding have been approved.
List of the projects
This initiative aims to give students the possibility to go through all the stages of a science educational process under supervision at different stages. This process requires students to develop a scientific project based on an original hypothesis, to execute it under supervision, present the findings publicly at the Symposium “Education through Science”, and finally write a report in the format of a scientific paper.
