Faculty to Help Project - A day at the Faculty
The maths circus was the first activity to take place and consisted in presenting some mathematical concepts to the younger children in a playful way. Subsequently, the children were invited to play in the areas prepared for this purpose. There was a pool filled with colourful balls, a spectacular inflatable castle, a drawing corner, and an area for face painting, where our colleague Susana Henriques delighted the children in a very artistic way. There was also an area dedicated to cinema where children and adults could watch Disney movies.
After much jumping, running around and conquering the castle, we were all called to listen to something truly lovely: the AEFML choir, which was kind enough to come to the Day at the Faculty to sing some Christmas songs. After a pleasant moment listening to the songs, the kids moved on to participate in the Bayblades championship, which even produced a winner entitled to a Participation Diploma. Everyone mastered the technique of spinning these modern spinning tops. When it was time for lunch, everyone could enjoy the delicacies brought by all participants. It was a great and lively morning. May there always be days like this one (at the faculty) to cheer us all!
