Futurália 2012
The largest national venue for education, training and employment offer, which was attended by the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon (FMUL), at the UL stand for the second consecutive year, was held at the Lisbon International Fair (FIL), between 14 and 17 March.
This year we have had a strong collaboration of students who volunteered to give their contribution in sharing experiences as students of FMUL. Their presence was essential and, rather than issues directly related to access FMUL, students who came to us were excited to share experiences with our students with regard to the activities developed by the FMUL’s Student’s Association (AEFML). Thus, we share the testimony of student Ricardo Veiga (5th grade).
“It was with great interest that students and parents went to the FMUL’s stand and asked questions on several subjects, not only about the access to the Master in Medicine at FMUL, but also the curriculum, scheduling, career opportunities (ie, the various medical specialties) and activities / extracurricular initiatives, training courses in particular, lectures and mobility programs.
For all that, I believe this was a unique experience, we have had the opportunity to share with the young enthusiasts (and future doctors, who knows?) the great times we have had in these past few years in FMUL. So, I invite all my colleagues, from 1st to 6th grade, to participate in future editions of FUTURÁLIA and contribute to the motivation and enlightenment of young people interested to join FMUL, sharing with them the pleasure and pride that we have in being students of this Faculty.”
