A Day at the Faculty
The initiative “A Day at the Faculty” came from the idea of bringing the FMUL Staff closer together on a special, entertaining and educational day. The Faculty of Giving promoted and organized the event which took place on January 7 and was attended by 116 participants, including 53 children.
FMUL Students were invited by the AEFML to participate, teaching children how a diagnosis is made, how to perform tests, a surgery, in broad terms. The doctors to be explained, in simple terms and with great enthusiasm, how to cure a patient puppet and awakened in children the desire to help the patient puppet. The stomach aches were relieved, a bandage was placed on the wound and the children's favorite puppets were out of the Hospital for Children feeling much better.
We still had time for face-painting and beautiful flowers, butterflies, a spider-man, a superman, among others, who were ready to watch a movie in the Grand Auditorium, which became a theater.
In the midst of colorful balloons and popcorn there was also an improvised and hilarious show with clowns, during which watchful eyes of adults and children flashed and smiles and laughter were seen and heard.
It ended with a lunch to which all participants contributed with a “specialty”.
In the end there was a feeling of gratitude to all who generously gave their time, their special talent, their affection to the children who came, full of curiosity and expectation, to spend a Day at the Faculty.
