Science and Health Research
In this section we continue to divulge online resources, which may be personal web pages, blogs, institutional portals, etc. A large part will be dedicated to medical sciences and scientific research.
Online Knowledge Library
(B-On)
It is time we refer to B-On, which is currently one of the tools most used by students, researchers, lecturers, etc. to access scientific information in all fields.
B-On is a consortium that brings together leading publishers of electronic journals on a common platform. Subscription is made at government level for Higher Education Institutions. As stated on the page, «The Online Knowledge Library (B-On) provides research and higher education institutions unlimited and permanent access to the full texts of over 22 000 international scientific journals [currently, there are about 3 259 in the field of health sciences] and 18 000 e-books from 19 content providers, through subscriptions negotiated nationally». B-On has been subject to many developments and improvements over the years. Among others, we highlight the training resources available to users to help them develop information literacy skills using supporting documents and very well structured tutorials.
