In the past week-end of 26 and 27 November, the University of Lisbon Shared Services and the Faculty of Medicine, through its Faculty to Help Project, joined a Food Bank Against Hunger campaign to collect food.
The various teams were, during the week-end, at the Pingo Doce supermarket representing the University of Lisbon, where they managed to collect a total of 3,587 pounds of food, to be distributed to those most in need.
If you did not have the opportunity to visit one of the many supermarkets that collaborated with the Food Bank, you can make your donation by December 3 through the “Campanha Vale”, which takes place in supermarkets, or through the website of the Food Bank Against Hunger.
This initiative between the SPUL and the FMUL has been a great success, thanks to all the volunteers who joined the University at each campaign in a noble cause like this.
