A Conference entitled Hospital Reform - Contributions, organized by the Portuguese Association of Health Engineering and Management, took place on 20 October at the Aula Magna of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon.
The conference was attended by doctors and hospital managers who discussed the commitment taken by several units to improve the performance and increase the rigour in the management of hospitals in the National Health Service, in ensure optimum and efficient use of available resources and continue to guarantee the right to health protection.
The debate was moderated by Dr. Carlos Tomás, President of APEGSAUDE, with the participation of Dr. Manuel Brito, Doctor and Administrator of the Central Lisbon Hospital Centre and of Dr. João Correia da Cunha, President of the Board of the Northern Lisbon Hospital Centre.
