In this section we continue to divulge online resources, which may be personal web pages, blogs, institutional portals, etc. A large part will be dedicated to the medical sciences.

ScienceResearch
This is a search engine created in 2009, which allows you to search the so-called ‘Deep Web’, where one can find pages that are not indexed or which have specific characteristics that mean they are not found using conventional search engines. You can read more about Deep Web, which is believed to be hundreds of times bigger than ‘Surface web’ (which is what we use regularly), here.



Versita Open


This is an open-access platform to take into account, where one is able to find around 200 academic and scientific journals whose access is free and which has links to scientific societies, institutes and prominent universities.






Tech eBooks

This search engine enables you to find technical books on a wide range of topics, including medical and other sciences, mostly in PDF format.




Tecnologias da Saúde Online - (Online Health Technologies)

This portal focuses on health technologies. It boasts a series of functions that will interest professionals in this field, including a magazine with news and several articles, a forum for discussion of various topics, the law governing the health technologies professions, etc






Freebookcentre.net

The site Freebookcentre.net has links to thousands of technical books in distinct areas, including branches of computer science, physics, chemistry, medicine, etc.
