In this summer period, which is of holidays for many people, we think that it would be important to present the University Dermatology Clinic of the Lisbon Faculty of Medicine, founded in 1956 by Professor Juvenal Esteves.

Indeed, who better than the specialists to tell us how we should protect ourselves adequately, not only against the sun, but also against the allergies that often break out or get worse during this period?

Besides publishing some articles in this field, we have interviewed Professor Manuel Marques-Gomes, Director of the Clinic, which has existed for over fifty years, telling us its history, its projects, partnerships and expectations. Join us on this visit!

We are also reporting, among other issues, on na important and memorable conference, the 12th EAHIL Conference (European Association for Health Information and Libraries) and the homage to Professor Arsénio Cordeiro, who, besides being a leading figure in the history of Portuguese medicine, was also an authority on the classification of marine species and a great sportsman, covering several different fields with remarkable success: fencing, mountain climbing, hunting, shooting, rowing and equestrianism, holding several records in Portugal and in Europe. And we are also reporting on the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of Lisbon Summer Party, which brought together colleagues from several different faculties of the University of Lisbon in an enjoyable atmosphere.
