EIn April 2003, fifteen years after the discovery of the DNA double helix, the Human Genome project was completed. DNA day is internationally celebrated on the 25th of April.
The European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG), in collaboration with the Portuguese Society of Human Genetics, wishes to join the celebrating of this date. One of the events suggested has to do with a competition for secondary school children (between the ages of 14 and 18) by writing an essay (up to 750 words) which should be submitted by the 25th of April 2010.
