Kiddy Cook Portugal and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon decided to join efforts and launch a recipe book to raise funds for the “Aid this COVID 19 cause” project. The cause has a name, the National Health Service (SNS).
Today we launch a new initiative that we hope will improve well-being in the local community and at the same time raise funds that are so necessary for our SNS.
Hereby, we invite families to contribute to the creation of a book of delicious recipes and inspiring stories that will later be available to purchase with a donation of all funds raised to the SNS.
“Our quarantined life has taken many turns and it’s not always easy and that is why it is important to focus on the positive elements that we find in our daily lives. At Kiddy Cook, we want to spread this positiveness in the local community. For that reason, we are encouraging families to submit one of their favourite recipes to include in our special 'quarantine' cookbook, along with a phrase about something positive that happened during the quarantine, for example, the opportunity to spend more family time together, among many other examples!”
Participate!
Participants are asked to make a donation of at least €3 to have a recipe, a positive sentence and a photo included in the book, which will later be available to purchase in digital version for just € 4.
Those who want to participate, just follow these steps:
1. Send the recipe in Word format together with a photo (jpeg format) to ana@kiddycook.co.uk
It would be fantastic if participants could send a photo of the chef and/or family, but if participants don't want to show their faces there is no problem, a photo of the final result of the recipe will be equally perfect!
2. Write a maximum of 2 sentences about something positive related to the quarantine.
3. Make a donation (minimum 3€) to NIB PT50 0018 000331549470020 73 (Santander/Totta) ensuring you write your name, followed by “We love to cook”, so that we can identify you. (*)
In this joint project, we intend to compile a unique book with recipes from various families and containing special, encouraging messages that will inspire other families to cook together at home. All of this while supporting the magnificent work that our SNS is doing on a daily basis.
The deadline for sending the recipes is 1 June.
Kiddy Cook Portugal and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon are together in this mission to collect the largest number of funds that will be donated to the SNS, through the FMUL Affiliated Hospitals Network.
