For the first time, the iMM laboratory opened doors for a team of journalists to speak and show in detail the production of more than 700 diagnostic tests to Covid-19, which are created there daily.

At the moment, there are more than 100 volunteers who keep the laboratory running for at least 12 hours a day, for seven days a week. PhD students and team leaders work on tasks and work with rigor and diligence to produce the kit, which arose from the challenge of Professor Maria Mota, director of the Institute of Molecular Medicine, to a scientist on her team, Vanessa Luís.
