The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) brought to the Lisbon School of Medicine 80,000 surgical masks, worth 192,000 yuan, equivalent to € 25,000 (approx. Value). These masks are certified and correspond to those needed by our institution.

Banco Industrial da China, known as ICBC Macau, has had a representation in Portugal (Lisbon) since 2006, thus connecting to the headquarters in Macau.

This donation was handed over by Doctor Wang Jincheng 王锦程, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute of the University of Lisbon, who formally represented the Bank with headquarters in Portugal.

Receiving this generous contribution, which came in the form of dozens of boxes, the Rector of the University of Lisbon, António da Cruz Serra, the Dean of FMUL, Fausto J. Pinto and João Barreiros, Vice-Rector of Ulisboa, were present.

The “Help this Cause” campaign is the solidarity initiative of the Lisbon School of Medicine that continues to collect the help that comes from the country and the world and aims to get closer and closer to our professionals so that they have the most appropriate conditions to work safely and guarantee quality in the health of the Portuguese.

Because by helping this cause, we are helping everyone.

Our deepest thanks!
