9th Update Course on AIDS, Tuberculosis and Hepatitis
As part of the cooperation with the Portuguese Speaking African Countries (PALOP), under the Funding and Development Support Platform of the Cooperation Project with Portuguese Speaking African Countries, involving the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL)/Association for Research and Development of the Faculty of Medicine (AIDFM) and the Industry, the 9th Update Course on AIDS, Tuberculosis and Hepatitis, was held in Maputo, Mozambique on November 13- 16 2016 (Course Programme and Figure 1). This course was organized by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL) and by the Faculty of Medicine of the Eduardo Mondlane University (FMUEM), with the support of the Scientific Council of FMUL. It was coordinated by Professor Francisco Antunes (Institute of Environmental Health/FMUL) and Professor Mohsin Sidat (Director of FMUEM). The course involved the participation of 15 lecturers (five from Portugal and 10 from Mozambique) and had 142 registrations (doctors and medical students from the last clinical year of that Faculty of the Eduardo Mondlane University), of which 106 were accepted and completed the course. The sessions were held in the Aula Magna of FMUEM and ended with the award of the Diploma to the participants who fulfilled the assessment criteria.
