Biographical note
Reproductive scientist. Area of expertise: gametogenesis and infertility. Group leader of the Evolution, Reproduction and Medicine Laboratory (EvoReproMed) at the Environmental Health Institute (ISAMB). Clinical geneticist at the European Molecular Genetics Quality Network (UK) and member of the Editorial Board of the official journal of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (USA). His research is focused on understanding how the evolutionary past of our species influences germ cell formation, and to what extent this information can be applied in a clinical context.
