In Portugal, 28 April was established as the National Day for Safety and Health at Work through resolution No. 44/2001.

This year focuses on addressing strategies to strengthen national occupational health and safety (OHS) systems for building resilience, in order to face crises now and in the future, based on lessons learned and experiences in the world of work.
