André Travessa

Biographical note

André Travessa is a Hospital Assistant of Medical Genetics at the Lisboa Norte University Hospital Center (CHULN) and Invited Assistant at the Institute of Histology and Developmental Biology at Lisbon School of Medicine (FMUL).
He holds a Master's degree in Medicine from the Lisbon School of Medicine (FMUL) and a post-graduate degree in Health Services Management from ISCTE-IUL.
He coordinates the CHULN Bone Dysplasias team as a member of the European Reference Network on Rare Bone Diseases (ERN-BOND) and has several scientific publications and lectures in the field of medical genetics.
Throughout his academic background, he has interned at several institutes and hospitals, including the Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital (Paris, France), the Institute of Medical and Molecular Genetics (INGEMM), La Paz Hospital (Madrid, Spain), and the Vaudois University Hospital Center (Lausanne, Switzerland).
