Catarina Reis de Carvalho is a physician and researcher of Gynecology-Obstetrics at Santa Maria Hospital, Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Norte. She has been an invited assistant at Lisbon School of Medicine since 2016. She is a PhD student at the Academic Center of Medicine of Lisbon where she conducts research in the area of labour monitoring. It has been a group of Global Shapers Lisbon since 2015. Between 2018-2020 she was a student at Harvard Medical School.
In addition to volunteering work to support a migrant community, she has co-authored two children's books and works in partnership with CEMBE in the implementation of the Choosing Wisely project – Escolhas Criteriosas em Saúde. She also participates in the Physicians Portuguese Association, as vice-president of the Council of the Lisbon City Sub-Region.
