They are the first Portuguese female doctors recognized as fellows of the European Board & College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EBCOG), in an exam that took place in Lisbon under the coordination of Professor Diogo Ayres de Campos.

Verónica São Pedro and Anabela Serranito thus join a still very short list of Portuguese professionals who have this qualification.
