Santa Maria Hospital celebrated its 65th Anniversary on 8 December. To set the date, trees were planted in honour of the deceased employees, as well as employees who completed 25 years of service.

The celebrations continued throughout yesterday, 10 December, with a conference with the topic “Care beyond hospital boundaries”, which took place at FMUL's Aula Magna, attended by, among others, CHULN’s President of the Board, Daniel Ferro, who talked about the main challenges of this hospital centre, the Secretary of State for Health, António Sales and FMUL’s Director Fausto J. Pinto, who stressed the importance of the CAML as a university medical structure shared by Santa Maria Hospital, the Faculty of Medicine, the University of Lisbon and the Institute of Molecular Medicine.
