The A3ES, set up by the state through the Decree-Law No. 369/2007, of the 5th of November in order to promote and guarantee the quality of higher education, has a mission to contribute towards the improving of the quality of higher education in Portugal, through evaluation and accreditation of the higher education institutions and their cycles of studies.
