European Peptide Society Zervas Award conferred upon Professor Castanho
Professor Castanho, head of the Institute of Biochemistry of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon was conferred the 2013 Zervas Award by the European Peptide Society (EPS).
The Zervas Award is bestowed upon the scientist who, in the opinion of the European Peptide Society Council, has made the most outstanding contribution to the chemistry, biochemistry, or biology of peptides in the five years preceding the date of selection. This year it was awarded to Professor Castanho from the Institute of Biochemistry of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Lisbon, Portugal, and to Professor Dawson from the Scripts Research Institute, USA.
The Zervas Award will be presented at the Opening Ceremony of the 33rd European Peptide Symposium and Professor Castanho will give the Zervas Award Lecture.
