According to the Ranking of the Most Influential Women of Portugal in 2019 , an exclusive study by the Executive magazine, which already has five editions, Professor Maria do Carmo Fonseca is one of the women that stands out. With an honorable 13th place, the Full Professor of Lisbon School of Medicine (FMUL) and President of the Institute of Molecular Medicine (iMM), entirely continues to dedicate herself to the development of science, especially in the field of genetics.

Winner of several awards and distinctions, the Executive magazine recalls an interview given to Público Newspaper, where she assumed herself as a ambitious person, without any loss of value: “if my ambition to be better is taken away, I think I will die”.

Congratulations, Professor!
