Cardiovascular Diseases are at the top of the list as the leading cause of death per year worldwide. It is estimated that about 80% of premature deaths could be prevented if proper care had been taken by controlling for major risk factors such as smoking, unhealthy diet and physical inactivity.
As a concerted action is urgent, in September we chose 3 different dates to bring you awareness messages about your own Heart.
In the e-conversations, on September 26th , between 13h and 14h, in the Paul Janssen room of FMUL, the debate was dedicated to the theme: Cardiovascular Prevention Global Strategies for the Future. Moderated by the Director of the Faculty of Medicine and Cardiologist, Professor Fausto J. Pinto and the Professor of the Faculty and Cardiologist Ana Abreu, was accompanied by prestigious guests, who gathered from various geographical points.
On September 27th , a Healthy Eating Workshop was held with Chef Luís Castelo, who taught some tricks to facilitate the routines, eating better!
On September 29 , the celebrations continued in the afternoon, in Belém and in partnership with the " Illuminating the world red " movement, with various playful initiatives.
