Applications are open for the second edition of the João Lobo Antunes Bioethics Award , which runs until 31st January of 2020.

This award was created in honor of Professor João Lobo Antunes, as well as his work in the field of ethics associated with health, life sciences and biology research.

The João Lobo Antunes Bioethics award aims to streamline the presentation of original and innovative studies and research on ethics in the fields of medicine, public health, general health, biology and life sciences.

As the first author, youngsters up to 35 years old, national or foreign, may participate, individually or in co-authorship. Each competitor may only subscribe to one work, regardless of the quality of authorship or co-authorship. The monetary and annual prize consists of the award of 10 thousand euros to the study or research work that, meeting the criteria required in the regulation, best contributes, by its relevance, relevance, originality and degree of innovation, for the advancement of the discipline of research. The prize and the honorable mentions (if any) and their diplomas will be presented at a public ceremony to be held on the occasion of the celebration of World Health Day on 7th April.
