On National Digestive Cancer Day, we reinforce the importance of prevention to combat one of the most lethal cancers, and the most frequent, among the Portuguese population.

Postponing the diagnosis can increase mortality rates, so prevention is essential.

The explanations and the alert, which falls on the impact of delays in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease caused by the pandemic, come to us through Prof. Rui Tato Marinho, President of the Portuguese Society of Gastroenterology.

See here the Professor's interview with TVI 24 and pay attention to the recommendations, because prevention is always the best medicine!
