The Consultation coordinator and Professor at Lisbon School of Medicine, Manuela Fiúza is responsible for a team of three more members, and is now in charge of organizing international webinars (starting March 30th), as well as being on the Society's board for international decisions.

Based in the USA and Canada, this Society, which aggregates the others from all over the world, designated this center as being of excellence based on the fulfillment of several parameters: the existence of consultations, post-graduate teaching, organization and discussion of meetings, or scientific publications, among others.

About this recognition, the Professor could not be more positive: "We skipped countless stages, we immediately moved on to a more macro perspective; now we will receive more support in publications and in survivors who go on to have chronic heart diseases".

About the FMUL Course

Already in its 6th edition, the Postgraduate Refresher Course in Cardio-Oncology, promoted by the FMUL, will take place on March 16 and 17, at the Egas Moniz Building. In a hybrid format, the training will be face-to-face, however, and due to the links with ICOS, the course will have names of high reference from the international panorama, which will further enrich this training that has shown great success and demand.

To this team that integrates CAML and representing Cardio-Oncology, our proud congratulations!
