Cenário do congresso

The AIMS Meeting, which brings together big names in Medicine and Science, has multidisciplinary lectures, debates and workshops. It is organized by a committee of  FMUL students  and was held on 18/21 March.

The balance is very positive. For the organizing committee, creating this event, which takes place every year in person, in online format was not a reason for it to be discouraged. On the contrary, “it was an interesting challenge”, says Inês Mendo, one of the coordinators of the of the AIMS Organizing Committee.

This year, the event had an organized and efficient technological platform. A few last-minute unforeseen issues were sorted out very effectively by the technical team. According to Inês Mendo, “our goal is that our guest speakers are able to convey the message they want and, even though people are at a distance, they get the most out of this experience”.

The congress was planned well in advance, which made it possible to create contingency plans for the greatest number of situations that could potentially happen. Inês Mendo said that "it was a question of always checking what we thought could happen. We had several plans for each aspect of the congress so that we could ensure the best conditions in the situation we were experiencing”.

This is one of the great events of the year. You can follow it in more detail on the official website!!
