The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, whose core mission is the teaching of medical sciences, has established various protocols and partnerships with other higher education institutions, thus contributing to the development of other academic backgrounds, including:
- Master’s Degree Course in Biomedical Engineering
This programme is the result of a partnership with the Higher Technical Institute for the Integrated Master’s Degree Course in Biomedical Engineering and has proven a key factor in innovation and in the development of the interface between Engineering and Medicine;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences (1st Cycle)
The result of a partnership with the Faculties of Sciences, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Psychology of the University of Lisbon, it aims at providing an initial training programme that extends to professional areas related to health.
- Partnership with the University of Madeira
FMUL has established a collaboration with the School of Health Sciences of the University of Madeira for the teaching of the first two years of the Integrated Masters Course in Medicine, with the aim of increasing access and providing an opportunity for a wider number of students residing in the autonomous region to attend the Medical Course.
