ASTRAZENECA FOUNDATION/FMUL RESEARCH GRANT
Considering the importance of scientific research for the development of Medical knowledge and for the enhancement of medical practice, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL) and the AstraZeneca Foundation have created an annual Research Grant for Medical Practitioners who have graduated less than 5 years ago (at the time of the application), in order to fund a research project in the field of health.
Applications for the 13th AstraZeneca Foundation / Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon Grant can be submitted from 1 to 30 September 2016.

The yearly AstraZeneca Foundation / Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon Grant is intended to fund a research project in the field of health proposed by a new medical graduate.
Seven applications were submitted for the 12th edition, in which the jury decided to attribute the funding, in the amount of € 5,000.00 to applicant Dr. Daniel Martins, who presented the project “Oxytocin-Dopamine Interplay in Mental Illness: on the Neurobiology of Social Cognition in Psychosis”, to be implemented at the Diana Prata Lab (IMM).
