Professor Fausto J. Pinto becomes member of ANM Brazil
On 9 May, during the Simpósio Fronteiras Cardiologia (Symposium on the Frontiers of Cardiology), which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Professor Fausto J. Pinto was awarded the Doctor's Diploma by the Federal Univeristy of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), the first awarded after the revalidation agreement signed last September and ratified in February 2019 between the two institutions.
However, there were more good news coming his way, as Prof. Fausto J. Pinto also became a member of the Brazilian National Academy of Medicine. Founded in 1829, the ANM is one of the oldest medical institutions in the world.
According to the Professor, «the close relations between the FMUL and the UFRJ will contribute to strengthen Medicine in Portuguese-speaking countries».
