International Women's Day - Control of own fertility
International Women's Day was celebrated again on 8 March, a date established by the United Nations and celebrated since 1977.
To mark this date, Raio – X interviewed Dr Joaquim Neves, obstetrician, gynaecologist and a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL), on contraception and how it played a very important role in promoting the rights and freedoms of women, allowing them to redefine the issued of fertility.
Thus, due to the various contraceptive methods currently available, women can decide and plan the number of children they wants and when to have them.
