This year, the 6 Workshops Tools for Innovation in Health organised by the GIE had their 4th edition in a different format, online, as a result of the effects of the pandemic. Yet, this had several advantages: we reached a broader audience in health and other areas, and it allowed us to experiment with more interactive online tools, and thus foster teamwork.
These workshops offer training in the area of management and innovation from the initial idea to the project's implementation. This year there were new guest trainers: in the Financing Workshop we had Professor Nuno Teixeira, Lecturer of Accounting and Finance at the School of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic of Setúbal and Dr Sandra Pinto, Coordinator of IPStart-Up – Polytechnic of Setúbal. Jurist Tânia Caldeira, from FMUL, gave the workshop on Intellectual Property. The remaining 4 workshops (Ideation, Value Proposition, Business Model and Pitch) continued to be given by trainer Sónia Teixeira from the GIE.
In a dynamic way, even with the challenges posed by distance and internet connections, the trainees adhered to the various tools put in place, identified one of the UN’s sustainable development goals and at the end of the workshops they had a social action project “Clean School” practically ready to be implemented.
Testimonials from trainees of the 4th edition:
