The first Skin Care, Aesthetics and Dermocosmetics in Oncology congress is taking place today and tomorrow at the Egas Moniz Building at FMUL.

Dedicated to all health professionals working in the field of oncology, the congress is divided into workshops on dermocosmetic counseling in oncology, skin care and make-up, lectures, and round tables. Pertinent themes will be discussed, such as "Aesthetic Medicine and Self-Esteem", "The Role of Nursing in Skin Care", "Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Oncology, the Perspective of Physicians and Patients", and "Hair Care". On March 4, the last day of this congress, there will also be space for a personal testimony given by Marine Antunes, who transformed her life after being diagnosed with cancer and now makes a profession out of it. Known for giving talks in schools and hospitals, joking about cancer, she is usually invited to several initiatives as an example of overcoming and hope.
