Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa launches the 3rd edition of the João Lobo Antunes Prize, created in recognition of the excellence and humanism of the doctor, neurosurgeon and scientist, considered one of the most outstanding figures in health, science and biomedical research in Portugal.

This award, worth forty thousand euros and aimed at medical graduates in medical internship, aims to stimulate scientific culture and clinical research in the area of neurosciences, without forgetting the principle of João Lobo Antunes concerning the humanization of the medical act - "its patients and their stories".
