Did you know that Alzheimer's disease represents 50% to 70% of dementia cases with a general progressive and irreversible deterioration of cognitive functions?

A study carried out by researchers from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon (FMUL) and coordinated by Professor João Costa, in the field of Pharmacology, reveals that the disease has annual costs in excess of 2 billion euros, equivalent to 1% of the national GDP.
