O Departamento de Educação Médica (DEM) vai organizar no dia 18 de maio de 2016 (quarta-feira) das 11:30 às 13:00 a 1ª Jornada de Inovação em Educação Médica.
 
Esta iniciativa vai decorrer na Aula Magna e terá como preletor o Prof. Ronald Harden, líder mundial em Educação Médica que abordará o tema ‘The teacher is key to the success of an education programme. What makes a teacher good or excellent? What changes should be adopted for a better teaching?’
 
Vai ser seguramente uma Conferência da qual todos podemos retirar ideias de aplicação direta na solução dos problemas com que somos confrontados na nossa prática docente.
 
Esperamos contar com a vossa presença nesta oportunidade única de termos entre nós o responsável por algumas das maiores inovações em Educação Médica como o OSCE, Outcome Based Education, SPICES Curriculum, Spiral Curriculum, Mapping Curriculum… só para indicar algumas.

The importance of the teacher is now recognised. With appropriate staff development, poor teachers can be good teachers and good teachers can be excellent teachers. The teacher is not simply a technician with technical skills but a professional with an appropriate approach to their work including passion and enthusiasm, an understanding of basic educational principles, informed decision making and collaboration as a member of a team. A good teacher is an enquirer into their own competence and keeps up to date with current approaches to teaching and learning in the healthcare professions.
